Living the Mission

Jesus calls us to make disciples of all nations, and at LifePoint, we live this out by sharing the love of Christ through meeting tangible and relational needs—both locally and globally—alongside Christ-centered nonprofit partners.

We believe every opportunity to serve is part of discipleship. When we “leave the building,” we become missionaries through generosity, compassion, and teaching.

At LifePoint, we believe that we are directly obeying and loving Jesus Christ when we give to and care for the poor through local and global missional opportunities.

Local Missions

Through local missions, we serve our neighbors by meeting practical needs, building relationships, and sharing the love of Jesus right here in our community.

Awaken

Awaken

Awaken is a local faith-based non-profit organization whose mission is to increase awareness and education surrounding the issue of commercial sexual exploitation and to provide housing and restoration for its victims. LifePoint comes alongside AWAKEN through providing financial gifts and shopping, and deliveries for their various holiday celebrations as well as educational and volunteer connections.

City of Refuge

City of Refuge exists to provide a safe place for women to live who have chosen life for their baby. The women learn life skills, parenting skills, and are provided with opportunities to learn how to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. The organization provides young women with the model of a Christ-centered family life! We support City of Refuge financially, with volunteer work, and bi-annual work days on their ranch.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes 

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) exists to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Gathering regularly in Douglas and Carson Valley schools, FCA emphasizes integrity, serving, teamwork, and excellence while equipping coaches and athletes to grow in faith, build lasting relationships, and boldly live out their commitment to Jesus Christ and His church.

The Northern Nevada Dream Center was created out of a vision to bring relief and God’s love to residents and the homeless in our local communities. LifePoint supports the Northern Nevada Dream Center through churchwide financial and volunteer support!

Life Choices

Life Choices is a faith-based organization that provides services and counseling for young women who choose life for their unborn babies. LifePoint shares volunteer needs as they arise and participates in their annual baby bottle-boomerang fundraiser.

Josiah Venture

Josiah Venture

This is the vision of Josiah Venture, a vision for a movement of God among the youth of Central and Eastern Europe and finds its home in the local church and transforms society. Their mission and calling is to equip young leaders to fulfill Christ’s commission by reaching and making disciples. More than just conversion, they want to see passionate followers of Jesus Christ, with a vision to reach and disciple their generation for Him. LifePoint provides monthly financial support and opportunities for a yearly missions trip.

When I Grow Up

When I Grow Up

When I Grow Up is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children out of extreme poverty. Their mission is to ensure that no child in the world needs to live in extreme poverty. Through your donations, children are able to attend school at no cost to them. They receive not only a school uniform but a daily feeding program, textbooks, tutoring, and health/social support for free. LifePoint provides monthly financial support, financial support for their onsight nurse, and provides opportunity for mission trips.

The Timothy Initivate

The Timothy Initivate

 The Timothy Initiative exists to advance Christ’s Kingdom by multiplying disciples and disciple making churches around the world. In obedience to Jesus and through Kingdom partnerships, The Timothy Initiative’s vision is to see multiplying, disciple making churches in every place and people group. Their ministry model is based on 2 Timothy 2:2. LifePoint has partnered with TTI to help plant 48 churches in Eastern Africa in the next year.

International Cooperating Ministries

International Cooperating Ministries

ICM partners globally with indigenous ministries to put a healthy church within walking distance of everyone in the world. They accomplish this by equipping local churches with two vital resources: a permanent church building and practical discipleship tools and resources for oral learners. These churches are planted in the world’s least reached mission fields. LifePoint is helping plant a church in Costa Rica and will become an opportunity for yearly mission trips in the future.
